Mohican State Park - Engagement Session
Growing up 30 minutes from Mohican State Park, this has been my little getaway since I can remember. From early memories on school field trips, to our first road trips when we got our licenses. And then it was helping to create mountain bike trails and supporting races through the area. I can’t even count how many times I have camped in these woods, or how many times I would purposely get lost hiking until I found my way back to a trail, opening up new possibilities for connections to create more interesting hiking loops.
If there is one place in nature that feels like my backyard, this is it. And I was excited when Kara and David wanted to get some snowy forest photos for their engagement. Since I am shooting their destination wedding in Colorado in the Winter, it seemed fitting to get some snowy engagement photos for them in the meantime. We had a great time getting these photos and exploring the area, warming up in the car as we drove between spots.
While we were hoping for more snow, this was the best our mild winter had for us. We made the best of it, and they were more than happy with what we got. Because as important as the snow, was simply spending time with each other in these quiet woods getting excited for their future together.
